ACCLIMATISATION AT BANANA JUNGLE LODGE

Situated 1500 Meters above sea level on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, close to the start of the Marangu Route, is one of the funkiest small lodges in Tanzania which is an ideal place to acclimatize before your trek.

Family run Banana Jungle Lodge is a real experience of genuine Tanzanian hospitality and you are immediately made to feel one of the family.
The lodge is built using traditional Chagga architecture but with all modern amenities. It is set in beautiful gardens of green and lush banana and coffee plantations which attract a great variety of birdlife and is surrounded by indigenous trees.

This is one of the few chances to sleep in traditional chagga huts in Tanzania and the environmentally friendly ethos includes ingenious use of biogas for heating and all local products for the menus.
