Riverside Camp, Iringa

Located in lush surroundings on the banks of the Little Ruaha river, the campsite is 15km from Iringa and makes a peaceful rest stop en route to/from Ruaha and the southern highlands.

THE ACCOMMODATION

A variety of accommodation options are available.

Most comfortable are the thatched family cottages of which there are 4 units. These are self contained with a double bed, bunk bed and an additional attic bedroom, plus toilet/shower and a fridge for self catering.

There are also seeveral large tents equipped with bed and sidetables which use shared shower toilet facilities.

Then there is a spacious campsite area as well.

THE FACILITIES
A central dining area is the main focus point for buffet style meals and there is also a smaller room with a satellite TV.

SAFARIS
There are several good walking trails along the river from the campsite and great birdwatching.
Ruaha is the closest National Park, less than 3 hours drive away.

THE VERDICT

Very peaceful spot to just relax, enjoy the countryside and take walks in typical highland scenery
