TanSwiss Guesthouse, Mikumi Village

Just outside Mikumi National Park in Mikumi village there are several cheaper guesthouses for those on a tighter budget. Although there is no comparison with the atmosphere of the safari lodgesinside the park, as a pit stop or budget alternative the most comfortable of these is Tan Swiss guesthouse

THE ACCOMMODATION
At present just 5 double and triple rooms with en suite toilet and hot water shower and a small terrace. Clean, tidy and with good water pressure and a bit further away from the main road than some of the other guest houses. In 2008 additional family cottages are being built as the guesthouse expands.

THE FACILITIES

The large dining room has a well stocked bar and good selection of meal choices. Lunch boxes are also prepared for those on day trips to Mikumi N.P.

THE SAFARIS

Mikumi National Park and day visits to the nearby Udzungwa Mountains can be organised in advance through Authentic Tanzania.

The most comfortableof the budget accommodation options in Mikumi village.
