There are 2 guest houses in Mangula close to the park entrance. These are both very basic and offer simple food. Both cost about $20p.p./night. Hikes in the Udzungwas can be organised at both Udzungwa Mountain View Hotel and Twiga Hotel.

Alternatively you can base yourself in Mikumi at one of the lodges and make a day visit to the Udzungwas.

The most preferable option though is to take a fully equipped camping excursion and either camp overnight at the top of Sanje Falls and awake to breathtaking views or try one of the longer hiking trails and camp en route.
