Rooms

Each en-suite Sea View Lodge Room is spacious and airy with a combination of multi-functional shuttered, hand crafted, wooden louver doors, electric ceiling fans, air conditioning and traditionally high beamed ceilings. A beautiful, finely, hand-crafted Zanzibari four poster bed is the focal point in the room, together with high quality fine cotton bed linen; ensuring maximum comfort. A classic baraza seating area with kanga covered cushions enhances the spaciousness of the room.
    
All furniture and accessories, including art work, are locally crafted. Each room has its own sea facing, makuti covered sand terrace; including two chairs and a table where early morning coffee and tea are delivered.
Low voltage lighting with easy access to on and off switches from within the mosquito net and a hot and cold water shower complete the rooms.

Restaurant

Set under a natural makuti, the open-air restaurant offers sea views and lush tropical flowers. The menu selection specialises in authentic Swahili Kitchen, using traditional methods and ingredients in the preparation of memorable meals. Seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes are available.

Bar

"Bar under the Palms" has been built around beautiful coconut palm trees creating a cool and relaxed space to enjoy a selection of home made juices, cocktails, a well stocked selection of wine, champagne and spirits.

Facilities

The white powder sand beach allows for safe swimming. Set between the restaurant and "Bar under the Palms" is a 13 m, sweet water, sea facing pool. Traditional beach beds and cushions are available between the pool and the sea. Three beach Bandas nestled in the dunes offer shade, sea breezes and views of Mnemba Island and the outer edges of Zanzibar's coral reef.

There is also a boulle court and a semi-enclosed reading/games corner.Next to the office is a small gift shop and the Lodge also offers internet connectivity. Diving, snorkelling and water sports can all be organised through the nearby One Ocean dive operator.
