Foxes Safari Camp
A small camp pitched on a hill overlooking the Mkata floodplain and the distant Mwanambogo waterhole.
THE ACCOMMODATION
8 en suite tents spaced out around the sides of the hill, all raised on platforms with private verandahs. The tents are basic but functional and afford good views over the plains.
THE FACILITIES
The central dining area is perched atop the hill and campfires are lit in the evenings to admire the night skies.
THE SAFARIS
Game drives are conducted in Mikumi National Park and day visits to the nearby Udzungwa Mountains can be organised in advance.
THE VERDICT
Aimed at a more rough and ready bush experience than the more sophisticated Vuma Hills. No frills but doesn’t claim anything else.
