This safari is specially designed to incorporate direct involvement with local community development projects in areas that you will visit.
DAY 1. DAR ES SALAAM
Arrival in Dar es Salaam, met and transfer to Mediterraneo Hotel, Kawe Beach. BB
DAY 2. DAR ES SALAAM
Visit to Bibi Jann Centre in Mbagala - www.bibijann.org.
Overnight Mediterraneo Hotel. BB
DAY 3. MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Drive Dar es Salaam to Mikumi (approx 4 ½ hours). Lunch at camp.
Afternoon game drive. Overnight Authentic Mikumi Camp. FB
DAY 4. MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Morning and afternoon or full day game drives. Overnight Authentic Mikumi Camp. FB
DAY 5. MOROGORO
Drive to Morogoro (approx 1 hour). Guided hike in Uluguru mountains visiting small villages organised by Chilunga Cultural Tourism Programme - www.chilunga.or.tz
Overnight Mbuyuni Farmstay. FB
DAY 6. SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Scenic drive through the Uluguru mountains to Selous G.R. (approx 4 hours). Afternoon game drive through Selous to Mtemere gate. Overnight Camping at campsite on Rufiji River bank. FB
DAY 7. SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Safari options include game drives, 1 walking safari and 1 boat safari on Rufiji River.
