The Machame route offers some of the best scenery - ascending from the western side of Kilimanjaro, and descending down the south face. All tents and camping equipment are portered for you, with meals being prepared by cooks.

Day 1 Arrive Moshi, Keys hotel. Climb briefing D – Hotel

Day 2 Transfer to park gate. Hike to Machame camp. (Approx 5 hours) FB – Camping 3000m

Day 3 From Machame to Shira Plateau. (Approx 5-6 hours) FB – Camping 3800m

Day 4 From Shira Plateau to Barranco Wall. (Approx 7-8 hours) FB – Camping 3900m

Day 5 From Barranco via Karanga Valley to Barafu camp. (Approx 8-9 hours) FB – Camping 4600m

Day 6 From Barafu via Stella Point, summit to Uhuru, back to Mweka camp (approx 6 hours + 8 hours) FB – Camping 3600m

Day 7 From Mweka to park gate. Transfer to hotel, Moshi. FB - Hotel

Day 8 Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport or shuttle service to Nairobi/Arusha (excl). B

Six day hike, plus 2 nights at base hotel. From Moshi / back to Moshi.
Dinner, bed & breakfast included at the hotel, full board on the mountain.
