AUTHENTIC TANZANIA RESERVATIONS AND POLICIES
To make a reservation please communicate
via email and our sales team will work out the perfect itinerary
to suit your needs.
If you wish to talk things through then just email us and we will
organize a time to call you back and discuss everything.
Once you have decided on an itinerary we will need a deposit or
full balance depending on how far in advance you are booking.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT IF VISITING ANY AREA
OF TANZANIA FROM MID JULY-END OCTOBER AND NORTHERN TANZANIA FROM
JANUARY TO MARCH YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS AT LEAST 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE.
These are peak seasons and availability in the camps
and lodges becomes extremely tight.
PAYMENT TERMS
Your invoice will be sent on receipt of confirmation. A non-refundable
deposit of 40% of invoice total will be required when reservations
are confirmed.
Payment in full must be received at least 60 days prior to arrival
to guarantee reservations.
Your invoice will be sent on receipt of confirmation Once payment
has been received we send a full information package with hotel
and transport vouchers where possible (some camps/lodges and flight
companies do not issue vouchers in advance).
If payment in full is not received 60 days prior
to arrival then reservations can no longer be guaranteed, if bookings
made within this time period payment in full must be made on receipt
of invoice.
For last minute bookings, payment is required in
full on receipt of invoice but lodge and camp reservations cannot
be guaranteed at short notice depending on season.
Please note that while all quotations are given
in best faith at time of enquiry all prices are subject to change
depending on exchange rates or external factors such as fuel hikes
or unexpected increase in park fees.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable but please note that all
hotels and lodges have cancellation policies to protect themselves
against lost business.
Our cancellation policy is as follows with the %
figure constituting the percentage of total invoiced amount
Less than 30 days – 100%
60 Days-30 Days – 50%
More than 60 Days – 20%
Where a customer has paid a deposit for the element which does not
cover the cancellation fee, then the Company reserves the right
to take the balance from the customer's credit card.
Authentic Tanzania will place your deposit and full balance in a
bonded bank account until after the end of the holiday.
INSURANCE:
Full and comprehensive travel insurance is essential to protect
yourself for the whole period before, during and after travel. It
is the responsibility of the customer to arrange travel insurance
once the trip is organized and before departure. Adventure sports,
trekking, diving and safaris inherently entail some element of risk
and it is essential your insurance policy covers any such activity.
Always take your insurance policy with you on holiday and leave
a copy with an easily contactable person at home.
The company takes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising
from any shortfall, error or omission in the information passed
to the customer during the course of the sale or subsequent delivery
of the product.
We recommend that you take out additional emergency evacuation insurance
- this can be organised by Authentic Tanzania in Dar es Salaam prior
to arrival - see details of the First Responder
Insurance
ALTERATIONS TO BOOKINGS:
We regret that no credit or refund is possible for any unused services
provided in the cost of your holiday. If you decided to alter your
travel arrangements whilst abroad this is your own responsibility
and Authentic Tanzania Ltd are not responsible for any extras or
difficulties that may arise with onward travel as a result of such
alterations.
TRANSFERS:
The company is not liable for any knock on effects arising from
the failure of any one element of a sale, such as the non-departure
of a boat or plane. Any cancellations arising thereof will be completely
the responsibility of the customer. It remains the customer's sole
responsibility to arrive and depart and travel between all elements
of a trip.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES:
Any complaints must be received in writing within 7 days of returning
home otherwise no corrective action can be implemented.
Compensation payments do not apply to changes caused by reasons
of war, riots, civic strike, terrorist activity, industrial dispute,
natural disasters, fire, closure of an airport or port, adverse
weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.
In case of such an event Authentic Tanzania Ltd will have no liability
other than to offer a refund of monies paid by you, not including
the deposit.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:
Placement of an order with Authentic Tanzania Ltd is taken as acceptance
by the customer of these terms and conditions.
