DAY 1. MONDAY DAR ES SALAAM-UDZUNGWA
MOUNTAINS
09.00 Depart by TAZARA train to Mangula station, approx 8 hour
scenic journey through the Pugu Hills and Selous Game Reserve
with good game viewing en route.
Met at Mangula station and short transfer to Udzungwa Mountain
View Hotel. (BB)
DAY 2. TUESDAY HIKING IN
UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS
Walk to the Udzungwa Mountains N.P. HQ for registration, then
short transfer by car to the start of the Sanje Falls hike. The
hike takes from 5 to 7 hours depending on time spent relaxing
at the falls and birdwatching. You are accompanied by a National
Park guide. Met at the end of the hike and transfer back to the
Udzungwa Mountain View Hotel. (FB)
DAY 3. WEDNESDAY MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Early departure for the 2 hour drive to Mikumi N.P. A full day to
explore Tanzania’s third largest National Park, late afternoon
short drive to Morogoro.

DAY 4. THURSDAY MOROGORO-SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Morning visit to the colourful market at Morogoro, then approx 4
hour drive through the beautiful Uluguru Mountains to Selous Game
Reserve. Afternoon game drive to Lake Tagalala campsite. (FB)
DAY 5. FRIDAY SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Morning foot safari. Afternoon game drive through Selous G.R.
O/n Lake Tagalala campsite. (FB)
DAY 6. SATURDAY SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Morning game drive in Selous G.R. Afternoon boat safari on Rufiji
River.
O/n Selous River Campsite. (FB)
DAY 7. SUNDAY SELOUS-KILWA
Drive Selous-Kilwa (approx 7 hours). Afternoon to relax at beach.
O/n Kilwa Seaview Hotel. (BB)
DAY 8. MONDAY KILWA
Sail by dhow to Kilwa Kisiwani island to explore the ancient Omani
UNESCO historical sites. Half day guided tour of the site. Afternoon
to relax at beach.

DAY 9. TUESDAY KILWA-DAR ES SALAAM
Approx 7 hour drive back to Dar es Salaam. |
