Mubarak Chande: Operations Manager

Muba has worked in the safari industry for 12 years and has been a critical member of the Authentic Tanzania Safaris team since the company was first formed in 2004. He keeps the office running smoothly while the rest of the team are out with guests, but most importantly, he makes sure that all preparations are made, checked and checked again prior to guests arriving for their Tanzania Safari.
He keeps our processes in order and directs the vehicle and personnel movements. He arranges all local logistics for Authentic Tanzania Safaris; getting airline and ferry tickets to the right place at the right time, ensuring drivers have everything they need for each group, whether it be a welcome bottle of champagne for honeymooners, or a bean bag to rest a camera on in the vehicles to get the perfect Tanzania Safari shot. He'll take your food preferences and make sure the chefs know to prepare your favourite meals, and he also ensures the camps are supplied with your sundowner drink of choice.
The Chefs: Kenny, Aram and Musa

Our chefs have been trained by excellent Tanzania Safari food-smiths to prepare a mouth-watering variety of meals while you're on your camping safari.
Our camping safari kitchens are designed to be mobile so that guests can sleep where the wildlife is at its most abundant. As such the equipment they have is limited and the cooking techniques are traditional. Nevertheless the end result is truly sumptuous. Fresh bread is baked every morning over the fire. Full English breakfasts are prepared for the camp or for a bush breakfast on an early game drive. Hearty Tanzania Safari lunches are prepared and three course dinners are whipped up, all to your specific timing and taste. Their extensive menu repertoire, and their experience catering for large groups, means that you can expect culinary excellence even when in the middle of nowhere on your Tanzania Safari!
The Camp Assistants: Musa, Aram, Kenny & Ali
The Authentic Tanzania Safaris camp crew set up, maintain, service and move your camps as required by your camping safari itinerary. They ensure showers are hot, tents are clean and bug free, pillows are plumped, beds are turned down and your laundry is done. The camp assistants are on hand all hours of the day or night as butlers, waiters and housekeeping. They prepare your Tanzania Safari camp fire and set lanterns out around the camp to light the paths, while taking turns on watch throughout the night.
They'll be the ones that hear the sounds of the predators hunting as it carries across the bush, and can give you the heads up in the morning as to where the wild dog or elephant have moved on to, so that you and your Authentic Tanzania Safari guide can make the most of your camping safari.
The Mechanics: Charles & Ali

Authentic Tanzania Safaris prides itself on its Tanzania Safari vehicles. Considerable care and attention goes in to ensuring your vehicle never lets you down, and has all safety requirements for you and your family.
Our track record is excellent, and although you may never see the mechanics at our workshop in Dar, they are a perhaps the most important part of our team. These guys keep our fleet of 4WD safari vehicles and the camp supply trucks in tip top shape.
After every trip they are serviced and fully checked over to make sure everything is running well. They convert new cars to the Tanzania safari style, with pop-top roofs, extra doors & windows and with well-sprung seats to cope with the bumps. They issue spares as needed to the guides, manage the vehicle insurance and licensing paperwork, and they keep the interiors clean and comfortable for our Tanzania Safari guests.
